Introduction
According to the UK Financial Intelligence Unit’s Annual Report published 24 January 2023, there has been a 21% increase in Suspicious Activity Reports on the previous year.
The fight against money laundering shows no sign of slowing with the National Crime Agency setting up a new unit to combat high end money laundering and the FCA imposing high-profile financial penalties on financial institutions for anti-money laundering deficiencies. On 18 January 2023, it was also announced that the SRA has imposed a record fine for AML failings.
With so much attention on anti-money laundering, firms are expected to remain up to date with developments and ensure that not just policies and procedures are current but are in practice.
This webinar focuses on the key developments in the world of anti-money laundering and brings participants up to date with changes to the law, latest tips on ensuring compliance with the AML requirements, recent cases, and new guidance.
