Introduction
This webinar will discuss the benefits of engaging apprentices and potential pitfalls, such as the danger of accidentally creating a common-law apprenticeship.
It will provide HR advisors with information regarding the funding options and different types of apprenticeship available. It will also highlight recent and possible future changes in this respect such as the possible removal of the Apprentice National Minimum Wage band, the April 2024 reforms to the apprenticeship levy and possible content of the new government’s Skills England Bill.
Consideration will also be given to the legal distinction between apprentices and ‘ordinary’ employees while also considering what that means in practical terms.
