SRA Competency B

Introduction

This is a practical and interactive course, designed to provide a full understanding of what is involved in the mediation process, its benefits and what it feels like to be in the mediation process from the mediator and client perspective.

It is particularly important given the changes in the FPR in April 2024 and the need to consider and notify the court of all non-court options considered/tried at each stage of the court process and the costs consequences that may follow if non court processes have not been considered or tried.

Mediation will become more mainstream in time. Do not get left behind!

What You Will Learn

This course will cover the following:

  • What the mediation process involves
  • Benefits of mediation for clients and lawyers
  • How mediation works from a practical perspective with mediation role play
  • How to train as a mediator
