Introduction
This short webinar will provide an update on recent developments, key issues and emerging trends in the context of copyright law in England and Wales, including significant recent case law, as we continue to navigate the post-Brexit landscape and grapple with the rapid advance of technology generally - and artificial intelligence specifically.

The webinar will cover the following:
- A brief overview of the concept and philosophy of copyright
- Impact of Brexit - a summary of where we are now, and where we might be heading, in terms of the impact of Brexit on copyright
- Key legislative and regulatory developments impacting copyright
- Copyright litigation - an overview of some of the recent judicial developments impacting copyright, including Getty Images v Stability AI, THJ v Sheridan, WaterRower v Liking Ltd, Rinkoff v Baby Cow Productions, and others
- Emerging challenges and ethical considerations - an exploration of some of the emerging ethical issues, with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, including the need for transparency and oversight in training and use of AI
