Introduction
Family lawyers are often concerned about the implications of costs orders being made within proceedings and this webinar will provide a helpful oversight of the current position on costs within family proceedings.
29 April 2024 saw a significant update to the Family Procedure Rules, which resulted in a major shift in the landscape in family proceedings. This includes an indication that the court will impose tougher sanctions on failure to attempt out of court resolution and being more prepared to make costs orders.
This webinar will provide practical guidance on the processes to follow to reduce the risk of costs orders, as well as providing an update on recent court decisions and precedents around costs orders.
