Introduction

A recent global study found that since the onset of the pandemic, 67% of people are experiencing increases in stress while 57% have increased anxiety. Empathetic leadership is the ability to lead while understanding the contexts, experiences and needs of others, and being aware of their thoughts and feelings. It is the ability to live and experience the story of another as if it were our own.

Research has shown training in wellbeing in the workplace and mental health awareness has been shown to have an eight fold return in investment from money saved through a reduction in staff turnover, sick leave and absenteeism.

This webinar will look at the impact of empathetic leadership in the workplace on motivation, productivity, morale and loyalty, and why according to recent research empathy is the ‘most important leadership skill.’
