Introduction

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (‘FSCS’) is the compensation fund and associated mechanism for reimbursing certain types of customers of financial services firms in the event that those firms fail to pay claims made against them.

The legal basis for the FSCS’s creation and operation are set out in Part 15 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.

This new virtual classroom seminar will look at the law and regulation that is relevant to the FSCS and how firms and their advisers might interact with it.

The session is suitable for lawyers, compliance professionals, FCA regulated persons, and professionals working in the financial services industry.
