Introduction

In recent years, cyber-fraud claims have been increasing exponentially with much of the losses never recovered.

However, recent developments have shown that the Commercial Court is prepared to develop its jurisdiction to give the victims of cyber-fraud the tools needed to trace, identify, seize and recover the proceeds of frauds perpetrated against them.

Drawing on the experience of CMOC v Persons Unknown [2018], this webinar will explain how to effectively manage legal proceedings against recalcitrant cyber-fraudsters.

The webinar is aimed at commercial litigators dealing with asset recovery and fraud litigation.

What You Will Learn

This short webinar will cover the following:

  • How can service be most efficiently conducted on multiple, international and non-engaging defendants?
  • How should a party set directions to trial to ensure an enforceable judgment against non-engaging defendants whilst at the same time minimising cost?
  • How should you enforce London Commercial Court orders internationally in a proportionate manner, with particular focus on the Dadourian guidelines?

This webinar was recorded on 23rd April 2019
