Introduction

The GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 introduced an enhanced range of rights for data subjects, from the right of erasure to the right of portability as well as streamlined data subject access requests and rights to object to certain processing activities.

Businesses have one month to respond to requests from data subjects and individuals are exercising their rights more vigorously as they realise that in most cases it costs them nothing to do so.

This live broadcast session will discuss the various data subject rights and how best to prepare for and to respond to them.

What You Will Learn

This live and interactive session will cover the following:

  • What are the data subject rights under the GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018
  • How to recognise a subject access request and how to respond
  • What information you have to supply
  • When a right of erasure applies
  • If the right of portability always applies
  • How subject rights attach to lawful grounds for processing
  • What are the exemptions you can rely on to not have to respond

Recording of live sessions: Soon after the Learn Live session has taken place you will be able to go back and access the recording - should you wish to revisit the material discussed.
