Introduction

It is vital for civil practitioners to know their way around the Rules of pleading a case. Errors could make the difference between winning and losing. At its simplest, the failure to plead a point could be fatal because Judges adjudicate upon what is put before them. It is emphatically not the function of the Judiciary to take or explore issues that have not been raised.

This webinar looks at common pitfalls and best practice and tactics.

What You Will Learn

This webinar will cover the following:

  • An essential understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules as they apply to factual and expert evidence
  • The Supreme Court Judgment in Griffiths v TUI highlighted the need for disputed evidence of note to be tested by cross-examination
  • Which impose rigorous requirements as to the form and content of witness statements
  • Part 35 dictates the many duties to be met if expert evidence is to be admitted. Breaches are not uncommon

This pre-recorded webinar will be available to view from Friday 13th December 2024
