Introduction

This new virtual classroom seminar will help you to support clients with dementia and build an understanding of the different ways in which dementia can affect people and their decision-making capabilities.

It will dispense some of the popular myths surrounding the illness and consider how we can communicate better with clients who have dementia by asking the right questions.

With an aging population and the rise in dementia, both diagnosed and undiagnosed, we are likely to be acting for many more clients with dementia as well as their families.

The session will address some of the challenges within the law when helping clients with dementia with legal services so that you feel confident in supporting their needs and ensuring you are compliant with your professional obligations.

You will learn practical tips to take away and implement into your day-to-day work, improving the services you offer and adding value to clients to be seen as a trusted advisor in this complex area of law.
