Introduction
The changes to how charities hold and deal with land introduced by the Charities Act 2022 are now fully in effect.
If you act for charity clients that hold property, this virtual classroom seminar will bring you up to speed with the changes brought in by the Charities Act 2022 (Part 2) and the requirements for charities, in particular the new Designated Adviser Report (DAR) regime that has now replaced the Qualified Surveyor’s Report (QSR).
What You Will Learn
This live and interactive course will cover the following:
- What a DAR is and where it comes up in the Charities Act (s117)
- What property transactions need DARs
- Are they needed for option agreements and wayleaves?
- What DARs need to contain and how this differs from the QSR
- Who can provide a DAR?
- Practical application
- Timings of when DARs need to be obtained in a transaction
- What to do if there is a delay between obtaining a DAR and actual completion
- The requirement for a supplemental letter/report to confirm that the recommendations in the report have not changed in the gap
- Other imminent changes being brought in by Part 2 of the Charities Act 2022
Recording of live sessions: Soon after the Learn Live session has taken place you will be able to go back and access the recording - should you wish to revisit the material discussed.
