Chris Thorpe

CTA(Fellow) TEP, Technical Officer at CIOT. Having originally qualified as a barrister, Chris qualified ATT and CTA whilst at Grant Thornton. He is currently a technical officer at CIOT and has worked in several accountancy practices including Haines Watts in Exeter over the last 13 years. He spent several years on the West of England STEP committee, is a regular contributor to Tax Insider magazine and his book ‘Implied Trusts and Beneficial Ownership in Modern UK Tax Law’ was published at the end of 2021.
